A beginning...
As far back as I can remember, I have fond memories of food. The smell of fresh baked bread, the tang of dairy for Easter, and the sweet confections of Winter blending with the scent of newly cut pine. Smells, foods, feelings have all blended together and weave a tapestry through my days.
As I got older this was joined with the bitterness of beer and the richness of wines. Spending time tasting, pairing and playing added a new dimension to the food and the preparation of meals. Cocktails took even more time to develop though in many ways they now eclipse the others. I often find myself running a new cocktail down to a nearby friend, or experimenting "in the name of science" with Harold on a Friday night. Delicious joys.
My excitement for this blog, is not only to spend time sharing what I love, but to know that it is a team adventure. A partnership of friends that quite simply love good food, interesting drinks, and great company.
